Family, what a life we can live when we chose to be still and know that the Creator of all is our God, and that He loves us with an unending, undefinable love. His love is so perfect that we can’t fully understand it. I believe that the cross is just a taste of God's love for His people.
Can we be still? Can we know that He is God? “The thief (satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10. The evil one tries to steal our hearts through all manners of pleasure, from sex to TV to the adrenaline of success etc. The list truly does go on. Not all of this is bad, but God had a different plan for it. Our body shows us this. Our body has dopamine that it releases when we get excited or have a fun time, and it is good medicine! But when we abuse it, and give in to the temptation to seek it, our body starts depleting in dopamine. Depletion in dopamine starts making life seem dull, even though its packed full of excitement. We need this natural releases of dopamine, but we kill it because we don’t obey our King. So I challenge you to put down your phone, turn off your TV, set down that book. Look around you, think of how good God is, think of how His mercy has gone so far in your life. Let Him be your joy and keep the distractions away. Be still and know that He is God! Let life be full because He loves you and He is good!
